Does the Beacon Offer Discounts?

Yes! The Beacon offers varying discounts for advertisers willing to sign a six- or twelve-month contract and/or prepay for their ad. The discounts are as follows:

5% off for prepayment of any ad or ad contract
5% off for signing a 6-month contract (consecutive months)
10% off for signing a 12-month contract (consecutive months)

When is the Deadline for Ad Submission?

To guarantee the placement of your ad in the next edition, it must be submitted by email no later than the 15th day of the month prior to publication. For example, if you want your ad to run in February, the deadline for submission would be January 15th.

How Can I Send My Ad?

The only means whereby you may submit your advertisement for publication is by email to beacon@palmer.edu

How Should My Ad Be Formatted?

In order to offer the best print quality possible, we recommend your submitted ads meet the following minimum standards.

Scanned images should be scanned at a minimum 300 dpi
Final images should be submitted in CMYK color mode

What File Type Should I Send by Email?

For your convenience, we accept several different file formats. They are listed here in order of most to least preferred for best quality.

EPS File (.eps) with ACSCII encoding by Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop
Adobe PDF (.pdf) with all fonts correctly embedded
Quark Document with all of the collected fonts and pictures
JPEG (.jpeg), GIF (.gif) or TIFF (.tif) created by any software
